CHOREOGRAPHIC

CHOREOGRAPHIC was set up in 2016 by Edgar Schmitz as a way of collaborating with invited guests from the fields of choreography and (post-)dance on one-off productions at the intersection of artistic, curatorial and discursive labour.

CHOREOGRAPHIC is concerned with the materiality of composite productions, the (dis-)articulation of movement, and the affordances of infrastructural form. The series stages choreographic modes, production formats, and language games, in close dialogue with neoliberal forms of governance and subsumption, to animate their compromised critical affordances.

Contributors to date include Mårten Spångberg, Andrea Phillips, Adriano Wilfert Jensen, Alexandra Kolb, Myriam Lefkowitz/ Vanessa Desclaux/ Emilie Renard/ Raimundas Malasauskas, Noel Fitzpatrick, Jason Bowman, Andros Zins-Browne, Galerie, Dorothee Richter, Sarah K Rich, Noémie Solomon, Julie Cunningham, Jamila Johnson-Small a.o.
